Program of Hope Temporarily Closed

First Presbyterian Church has been providing services to the less fortunate in our community through the Program of Hope for the last twelve years. During the COVID-19 outbreak, it has been necessary to suspend services for the health of our clients and volunteers. When it is safe to do so, we will resume the program.

We are thankful to our partner churches who have supported the program through the years, and we trust they will continue to do so when we resume. They are St. Charles Avenue Presbyterian, Lakeview Presbyterian, Faith Presbyterian in Harvey, Metairie Ridge Presbyterian, Parkway Presbyterian, and John Calvin Presbyterian.

In the meantime, the Program of Hope board has voted to send funds to support the Broadmoor Food Pantry, which continues to operate to provide food to the community during this time. The City of New Orleans is also offering housing and mental health services to the homeless.

We pray for the safety of all in this unprecedented time. God be with you till we meet again.
