Welcome to First Presbyterian Church in New Orleans!

We are a church with a rich history. Feel free to browse our website and discover more about us. First Presbyterian is an open and affirming congregation that welcomes and encourages all to join us in worship. We are affiliated with the PC(USA).

We are a More Light Congregation and a member of the Covenant Network of Presbyterians. We welcome all people, all races, and all sexual orientations.

Being Faithful, Staying Safe

Some churches in our area haven't reopened since March, but First Presbyterian New Orleans has been open for worship since May 17, and we've resumed communion services for the last two months. Some folks are still hesitant to return to church. We've made a video explaining what we're doing to keep people safe. It includes a behind-the-scenes look at May and Larry Ball preparing the communion elements. The hope is that this video will assuage some fears about what we're doing right now.
