Christmas Eve Service at 6pm

Join us for a candlelight Christmas Eve service at 6pm on December 24.

Caroling on the Streetcar

FPCNO takes the show on the road:  bell caroling on the St. Charles Avenue Streetcar on a beautiful Sunday afternoon.  We sang and handed out candy canes as we rode the streetcar from Jefferson Ave. to Palmer Park and back again.  We had a wonderful time and spread lots of Christmas Cheer.  This will definitely become an annual event!

Advent is a season of preparing...

This year we are preparing for the Christ child by adding pieces of straw to the manger. Each piece of straw represents an act of kindness or a blessing, given or received.

Have you given or received a blessing this week? Come to worship on Sunday or to the Program of Hope on Wednesday and add a piece or two of straw.

By Christmas Eve, we will have prepared the bed for Baby Jesus with straw symbolizing acts of love and kindness.

Lessons and Carols

Join us this Sunday for our Lessons and Carols service- instead of the typical sermon + 3 hymns worship format, we will collaboratively decorate the sanctuary and hear the story of Jesus in 6 short Bible readings, interspersed with bells, singing of carols, hymns & choir music. In the absence of a photo of the decoration process, here is one of the children singing from last year. These adorable people will be helping to lead the service this year by reading and performing music.

The Traditional *Trash Can Turkey* Feast

We had a little pre-Thanksgiving feast and Saints game viewing party the weekend before Thanksgiving.

Thanks to all who made Trash Can Turkey Sunday so awesome! Thanks to Zane and his crew for cooking the turkeys and to all who brought so many delicious things to eat, and to all who came out for fellowship and football (Saints won in a squeaker!). It was a wonderful return to a favorite tradition. And the weather was perfect! (God gets the credit for that one.)

Pumpkin Truck Unloading

Thanks to everyone for their help unloading pumpkins for the pumpkin patch last Sunday!  We received over 2400 pumpkins and we unloaded the truck in less than 3 hours!

The pumpkin patch is open Mon-Friday from 3pm - 7pm, Saturdays from 10am - 7pm, and Sundays from 1pm - 7pm.
